Description

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for an Endoscopy unit requiring BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications along with endoscopy experience.

Details

• Work in a hospital Endoscopy unit with 6 procedure rooms and 13 prep/recovery bays
• Day shift schedule from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• Staffed with 8 nurses and 4 techs on day shift
• Patient ratios approximately 1:1 in procedure and 2:1 in prep/recovery
• Cares for both adult and pediatric patients
• Performs procedures including EGD, colonoscopy, ERCP, and bronchoscopy
• Uses endoscopy equipment and Meditech EMR
• On call required one weekend per month and one day per week
• Floating required to IR, PACU, and Day Surgery

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in endoscopy required
• Endoscopy experience required for consideration

Additional Information

• Royal blue scrubs required
• No phone use and minimal personal call-ins permitted on the unit
• No ear buds allowed while on duty
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for consideration
