Description:
The position involves working as an Electrophysiology Tech.
The primary systems in use are Affera PFA and Biosense Webster RFA.
The work schedule is from Monday through Thursday.
The candidate is required to have a minimum of 2 years of experience.
Candidates are allowed to float within their scope to meet facility needs.
Orientation hours are included in the position.
Weekend work is required every fifth weekend.
On-call duties include short call (4 hours at the end of a shift) once per week.
Candidates are expected to have strong communication skills and a good understanding of sterile techniques.
The role involves scrubbing EP studies and performing invasive diagnostic and interventional electrophysiology procedures.
Special equipment familiarity is required, including intracardiac electrogram recording and pacing systems, therapeutic ablation systems, and emergency equipment.
The patient population includes adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
Daily census is approximately 20 patients.
The specific patient diagnoses include ablations, pacemaker insertions, ICD insertions, and device implants.
Candidates must have skills in cardiac monitoring, baseline measurements, and recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias.
Good understanding of cardiac anatomy and conduction system anatomy is also necessary.
