Description

American Traveler is hiring an Emergency Department RN for a combined adult/pediatric ER, requiring at least 1 year of experience and TX or compact RN licensure.

Details

• General Emergency Department treating combined adult and pediatric patients
• Evening shift schedule, 3 pm to 3 am, with 36 or 48 hour weekly options
• Epic charting system experience required
• Floating required
• Weekend shifts required

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, TNCC, and PALS or NRP
• Minimum 1 year of recent ER experience required
• Skilled in respiratory care, ventilated patient care, IV therapy/phlebotomy, and central line management
• Proficient in triage, cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and isolation precautions/PPE

Additional Information

• Provide emergency care across a combined adult and pediatric patient population
• Responsible for triage, cardiac monitoring, and emergency response for dysrhythmias
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Former staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved, and no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation
• Travel pairs or groups are not accepted
