Start Date: October 26, 2026

Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30). Flexible 36 or 48-hour weekly options available. Patient ratio typically 1:4-5 based on acuity (ESI 3-5). Approximately 80 visits per day in an 18-room, 20-bed Emergency Department. Weekend coverage required (minimum 3 shifts per 6-week schedule). Float to Medical-Surgical or ICU units as needed.

Highlights:

• 13-week travel assignment in a community-based Emergency Department serving all patient populations from neonates through geriatrics
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Radiology, Pharmacy, and Rapid Response Teams
• Diverse case mix including respiratory, cardiac, neuro, minor trauma, OB/GYN, and initial stabilization for major trauma, stroke, and STEMI prior to transfer
• Advanced procedures including chest tubes, RSI, procedural sedation, central lines, and ultrasound-guided IV placement
• First-time travelers welcome with 12-hour orientation period
• One pre-approved time off period available during contract

Requirements:

• Active RN license (New Mexico or Compact license accepted; pending licenses must be obtained prior to start date)
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience preferred
• Previous charge experience required
• Patient ratio experience with 4-5 patients required
• Community hospital and Level II Trauma Center experience preferred
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
• Preferred certifications: CPI, NIHSS, TNCC, NRP/ENPC, STABLE
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Must reside outside 50-mile local radius
