- Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
- Hours per Week: 36
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,680 - $1,770
- Setting: 16-bed Emergency Department with trauma bay and fast-track beds
Job Requirements
- Active RN license in Texas or a compact state
- Minimum of 1 year of Emergency Department RN experience or related acute care nursing experience
- BLS certification from AHA
- ACLS certification from AHA
- PALS certification from AHA
- TNCC certification
- Ability to work independently in a high-acuity, fast-paced clinical environment
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care using the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
- Care for a diverse patient population with stroke, STEMI, trauma, psychiatric, geriatric, and pediatric needs
- Administer medications and treatments according to established emergency department protocols
- Monitor patient response and adjust care appropriately in collaboration with the healthcare team
- Document patient histories, symptoms, medications, and care provided accurately and thoroughly
- Assess patient and family learning needs and provide clear, supportive education
- Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs with professionalism and compassion
- Collaborate with physicians and clinical support staff to promote safe, efficient patient care
- Maintain a calm, confident approach while responding to high-volume and high-acuity emergency situations
