Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Sunday–Saturday based on facility needs | Weekend availability required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced emergency room and urgent care environment
• Transition from an acute care hospital setting to a free-standing emergency and urgent care facility following an initial onboarding period
• Assess, triage, and manage emergency patients across a range of acuity levels
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently using Epic electronic health records
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver safe, high-quality emergency care
• Be prepared to participate in emergency response operations during hurricane season (June–November), as contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of emergency room nursing experience
• Active South Carolina RN license or Multi-State/Compact RN license (SC license must be active prior to start; candidates with a pending SC license may be considered with proof of application)
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications required — must be issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must live more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Previous permanent or PRN staff must have been separated from the facility system for at least 1 year before being eligible to work as a traveler

Preferred Experience / Skills

• CPI certification preferred
• TNCC certification preferred
• First-time travelers are welcome, provided emergency room experience requirement is met
