Description

American Traveler is seeking an ER RN for a 12-week assignment requiring a TN or compact RN license and at least one year of emergency department experience.

Details

• Work in the Emergency Department/Trauma unit of a hospital setting
• Care for patients presenting medical, surgical, cardiac, neurological, psychiatric, pediatric, and trauma-related emergencies
• Shift schedule is 10:00 AM to 10:30 PM
• 12-week assignment length
• Utilizes cardiac monitors, defibrillators, infusion pumps, and ventilators

Requirements

• Active TN or compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification (AHA)
• Current ACLS certification (AHA)
• PALS certification may be required
• TNCC certification may be preferred or required
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required
• Prior emergency department, critical care, or acute care experience preferred
• Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start
• Valid driver's license copy required for consideration
• Full SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• Perform rapid patient assessments, triage, and prioritize care based on severity and urgency
• Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and neurological status for signs of deterioration
• Administer medications, IV fluids, blood products, and assist with emergency procedures including CPR, trauma resuscitation, and intubation
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and other healthcare team members
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and discharge instructions
• Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record
• Follow infection-control and medication-safety protocols
• Radius rule applies which may affect pay rate eligibility for local candidates
• Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address
• First-time travelers may be considered
