Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Department RN for a free-standing ER and urgent care facility, requiring 2+ years of ER experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Work in a free-standing Emergency and Urgent Care facility with 12 staffed beds
• Begin the contract at a hospital ER for approximately 2 weeks before transitioning to the free-standing ER/Urgent Care facility
• Night shift schedule of 3x12 hours (7p-7a), Sunday through Saturday depending on facility needs
• Weekend shifts required
• No on-call responsibilities
• No floating required
• Uses Epic charting system

Requirements

• Active SC or Multi-State/Compact RN license required
• Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS
• CPI and TNCC certifications preferred
• Minimum 2 years of emergency room nursing experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• First-time travelers accepted provided they have ER experience

Additional Information

• Provide emergency department nursing care in a fast-paced free-standing ER and urgent care setting
• Royal blue scrubs required
• Candidates must reside outside a 60-mile radius of the facility to be considered; local candidates not accepted
• Previous MUSC perm or PRN staff must be separated from the system for 1 year before returning as a traveler
• All requested time off must be submitted at the time of consideration, with approval based on facility needs
• During hurricane season (June through November), staff may be assigned to emergency response teams
