Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN for a Level I/II Trauma Center requiring a VA or compact license and ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications.

Details

• Emergency Department setting at a Level I and Level II Trauma Center
• 13-week assignment on night shift (3x12 hours, 7:00 PM-7:00 AM)
• 36 or 48 hours per week with weekends required
• Scheduled days vary based on staffing needs and block scheduling cannot be guaranteed
• Must work 2 of the 3 winter holidays
• Floating required within scope of practice as needed
• Uses Epic EMR system

Requirements

• Active VA or compact RN license (pending accepted, must be in hand by the Wednesday before start)
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC (TNCC may be pending but required before start)
• Minimum 2 years of ER experience required
• At least 1 year of Level I trauma experience or 2 years of Level II trauma experience, including some pediatric experience
• Epic EMR experience required
• BSN preferred
• Two professional references required

Additional Information

• Provide emergency nursing care including patient triage
• Maximum 40 hours of RTO approved per 13-week contract, must be disclosed at time of submission
• Any vacation time between sign date and start date must be disclosed to arrange an appropriate start date
• Previous permanent staff or internal/external travelers at this health system require 1-year separation and leadership approval
• External travelers cannot exceed 365 total assignment days and are not eligible to return once this limit is reached
• First-time travelers are not being considered for this position
