Key Responsibilities

• Provide emergency nursing care in a freestanding ED setting, assuming RT and pharmacy support roles as no respiratory therapy or pharmacy staff are on site
• Perform and manage Procedural Sedation and Rapid Sequence Intubation (RSI)
• Provide care involving Tracheostomy Care, Cardioversion/Defibrillation, and Breathing Treatments
• Manage vascular access devices including Port-A-Cath, PICC Lines, Triple Lumen Catheters, and Syringe Pumps
• Perform drain management, feeding tube management, and rapid infuser operation
• Care for a patient population that includes approximately 15% pediatric patients

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license; compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 1 year of Emergency Room RN experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS
• Must commit to working 3 of the following 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
• All RTO and specific scheduling requests must be submitted upfront at time of submittal; post-offer RTO requests may not be considered
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible as a standard travel candidate (locals may be considered under separate terms)
• Candidates must be willing to float to nearby sister facilities as needed; refusal to float may result in assignment termination
• 2 professional references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required prior to start

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a freestanding or autonomous ED environment where nursing staff assume expanded clinical support roles
• Experience managing high-acuity and multi-system patients including pediatric populations
• Familiarity with rapid infuser equipment and complex vascular access device management
