- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,850 - $1,950
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand at time of consideration; compact license accepted
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required
- Previous travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers are not accepted
- Current ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications required
- Epic EHR experience preferred
- Comfort floating to nearby campuses or sister facilities as needed
- Ability to work every other weekend and meet holiday coverage expectations
- Strong emergency department experience with adult and pediatric patient care preferred
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care for patients across the lifespan, including neonates, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
- Assess, triage, and prioritize patient care in a busy Emergency Department setting
- Support ambulatory triage, ED holding, and lobby triage workflows as needed
- Assist with emergency procedures and critical interventions, including chest tube setup and care, CPAP/BiPAP, procedural sedation, RSI support, and trach care
- Manage blood and blood product administration, cardioversion/defibrillation, rapid infuser use, and 12-lead EKG acquisition
- Monitor and care for ventilated and high-acuity patients while maintaining safe, efficient patient flow
- Collaborate closely with respiratory therapy, radiology, pharmacy, interpretation services, and social services
- Follow unit protocols, documentation standards, and floating expectations while contributing to a team-oriented healthcare environment
