Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN for a night shift position requiring 2 years of ER experience and prior travel nursing experience.

Details

  • >Acute care hospital Emergency Department treating combined adult and pediatric patients
  • STEMI and Stroke Certified facility with Shock/Trauma capabilities
  • 1:4 patient ratio
  • Night shift, 3x12 hours from 17:45 to 6:15
  • 36 hours per week
  • Weekend rotation required every 3rd weekend
  • No floating required outside of scope
  • No on-call requirements
  • Uses Epic charting system

Requirements

  • Active MO or compact RN license required (compact must match permanent residence)
  • Minimum 2 years of ER nursing experience required
  • Prior travel nursing experience required
  • Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS
  • Preferred certifications: CPI, TNCC
  • Epic charting experience required
  • Experience with 1:4 patient ratios required
  • Skilled in emergency care for pediatric and adult patients including trauma, cardiac, respiratory, neurological, and psychiatric emergencies

Additional Information

  • Provide emergency nursing care across a wide range of conditions including trauma, cardiac events, respiratory distress, neurological injuries, and behavioral health crises
  • Perform skills such as 12-lead EKG interpretation, splinting, triage, and management of dysrhythmias
  • Navy scrub color required
  • Candidates must reside outside a 75-mile radius of the facility to be considered
  • First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
  • Standard travelers may work up to 18 months at BJC facilities before requiring a 3-month break in service
  • Former permanent employees of BJC or Saint Luke's must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
  • Maximum of 7 days RTO permitted per 13-week contract, with no RTO allowed during the first week of the assignment
  • All RTO must be finalized prior to submission with no changes allowed afterward
