Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Room environment with a standard nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4 (may be 1:5 during low-staffing situations)
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for emergency patients across varying acuity levels
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure timely and effective patient outcomes
• Float within scope to other units as needed — travelers are expected to float first with no restrictions
• Maintain all required certifications and compliance documentation prior to start date

Required Qualifications

• Active Maryland RN License or valid Compact RN License required at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience
• BLS and ACLS certifications required — American Heart Association (AHA) only
• PALS certification required — American Heart Association (AHA) only
• CPI certification required — The Calm Every Storm online version is the only acceptable online vendor
• Must reside 50 or more miles from the facility (permanent address) to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience welcomed; first-time travelers are accepted
• Comfort with floating within scope to other units as needed
• Ability to adapt to varying patient ratios and high-acuity emergency situations
