Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN for a Level 1 Trauma Center position requiring 2+ years of trauma experience and MO or compact RN licensure.

Details

• Level 1 Trauma Center Emergency Department at an academic/teaching facility
• 42-bed unit with 5 trauma rooms treating approximately 130 patients per day
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating not required
• Block scheduling may be accommodated at manager discretion
• EPIC charting system experience required

Requirements

• Active MO or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of ER nursing experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI, NIHSS, TNCC
• Preferred certification: PALS
• Level 1 Trauma Center experience required
• Level 2 Trauma Center experience preferred
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• EPIC charting experience required
• Skills required include IV therapy/phlebotomy, starting and maintaining IVs, central line care/management, blood product administration, BiPAP/CPAP management, care of ventilated patients, interpretation of ABGs, continuous IV sedation, IV vasopressors, procedural sedation administration/monitoring, CVA care, isolation precautions/PPE
• Preferred skills include arterial line management, neuro-trauma care, spinal cord injury care, traumatic brain injury care, gunshot wound management, traumatic amputation care, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, triage, and ortho trauma care
• Pending license candidates accepted

Additional Information

• Provide emergency care across a general adult/pediatric ED population in a Level 1 Trauma Center setting
• Must be willing to work 4 of 8 designated holidays: Thanksgiving Eve, Thanksgiving Day, Black Friday, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, 12/26, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
• Must reside outside a 70-mile radius of the facility; local candidates are not accepted
• All RTO must be requested at time of submission, with post-signing RTO subject to manager discretion
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Traveler experience is not required for consideration
