Emergency Room Nurse

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. This position requires dedication and expertise in emergency care, particularly with an elderly population.

Schedule Details

• Shifts: 12-hour evening shifts from 3 PM to 3 AM
• Weekly Hours: 36 hours
• Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend
• Holiday Requirements: As needed

Experience Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Room experience required
• Passed EKG test with a score of 80% or higher
• Must pass an EKG test on the first day

Licensure and Certification Requirements

• Active Illinois nursing license
• CPR certification
• ACLS certification
• NIH Stroke certification
• PALS certification
• TNCC or TNS certification

Facility Overview

This position is within a Level II emergency department, which caters primarily to an elderly demographic and includes pediatric patients. The facility sees approximately 3000 patients per month, emphasizing a commitment to high-quality patient care and effective use of electronic health records.

Additional Requirements

• Experience with Epic electronic health records is preferred
• Floating to other areas is not required
