Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring MA licensure and a minimum of 2 years of ER experience.

Details

• Work in a General Emergency Department serving combined adult/pediatric patients
• Target patient ratio of 1:2
• Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours (7:00 AM-7:30 PM), 36 hours per week
• Every third weekend required
• No call requirement
• No floating requirement
• Uses Omnicell medication system and Meditech Expanse charting system

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of ER experience required
• Current certifications: ACLS and PALS required; ENPC, MOAB, NRP, and TNCC preferred
• Meditech charting experience preferred
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Experience with pediatric and adult emergency care including trauma, psychiatric, respiratory, and cardiac cases

Additional Information

• Provide emergency nursing care across a wide range of conditions including trauma, psychiatric emergencies, respiratory distress, and cardiac events
• Perform skills such as IV therapy, phlebotomy, EKG interpretation, splinting, and isolation precautions
• Scrubs of any color permitted
• Expect to work some holidays
• Keep time-off requests to a minimum, especially during the first two weeks of the assignment
