Join a leading acute-care hospital as an ER Registered Nurse in New Haven, CT. This is a contract position in the Emergency Department (ER) for winter coverage, specifically for a 13-week assignment. Local radius restrictions are waived for this role, and the start date is set for November 20, 2026.

As an ER Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care in a fast-paced environment. You will be expected to cross-train and float to other campuses and ED observation as needed. The average nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:6 during both day and night shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver patient care in accordance with established standards and protocols.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, providing timely interventions.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records using Epic charting.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1.5 years of experience in a similar hospital setting preferred; 2 years is ideal.
• Certifications required: TNCC, ACLS, BLS.
• Level 1 Trauma experience is mandatory.
• Willingness to accommodate a block schedule and float within the scope to meet facility needs.
• Pending licenses are accepted.

Additional Information:

• No holiday requests for time off will be accepted.
• Weekend requirements are every other weekend.
• Makeup shifts for missed weekend shifts will be rescheduled within the next six weeks.
