Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department night shift position requiring NM or compact RN license and 2 years of ER experience.

Details

• General Emergency Department serving combined adult and pediatric populations
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Epic charting system preferred experience
• Night shift schedule, 4x12 hours from 18:30 to 7:00
• Option of 36 or 48 hours per week
• At least 6 weekend shifts required within a 6-week schedule
• Floating to like units within scope as needed based on facility needs, with brief orientation provided

Requirements

• Active RN license (NM or Compact) required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS
• CPI and TNCC certifications preferred
• 2 years of ER experience preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Experience in teaching hospital, community hospital, LTAC, and Trauma Level I/II settings preferred
• Skills in IV therapy/phlebotomy, arterial line management, blood product administration, and central line care/management
• Respiratory skills including BiPAP/CPAP management, ventilator patient care, and ABG interpretation
• Experience with continuous IV sedation, IV vasopressors, and procedural sedation administration/monitoring
• Experience with dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Skills in isolation precautions/PPE and triage

Additional Information

• Provide emergency care across a wide range of trauma, pediatric, cardiac, neurological, and orthopedic cases
• Facility is a STEMI and Stroke Certified center with Level I and II Trauma capabilities
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Previous staff must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible
• No more than 4 days of RTO will be auto-approved
