Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring ER and ICU experience and TNCC certification at a Critical Access Hospital.

Details

• Critical Access Hospital Emergency Department with 11 beds and 1 trauma bay
• Handles approximately 35 patients per day with a 4:1 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Night shift 7p-7a with a flexible start time, every other weekend required
• 13-week assignment with 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Uses EPIC EMR system
• Charge nurse present on unit, no nurse aides or paramedics assigned
• Phlebotomists handle lab draws, IV team available during business hours, RT available 24/7
• One ED provider on-site 24 hours a day
• Primary assignment to this facility with required floating to other Region II facilities (St. Clare Hospital – Lakewood, WA and St Joseph Medical Center – Tacoma, WA) as needed
• Will float to ICU as needed
• First to float designation for this position
• Unit-specific orientation provided

Requirements

• Active WA state or compact RN license required, pending licenses not accepted
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
• ENPC or PALS certification required
• ER and ICU experience required
• EPIC EMR experience preferred
• Active certifications required at time of consideration, pending certifications not accepted
• Driver's license copy required for consideration
• Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months worked and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years worked, including employment dates and rehire eligibility

Additional Information

• Provide emergency department nursing care in a critical access hospital setting
• Holiday coverage required
• Will float within Region II facilities when needed, with additional pay for floating to non-primary facilities
• Candidates who were previously employed full time, part time, or PRN by CommonSpirit-affiliated facilities (including CHI and Dignity) within the past year are not eligible
• Candidates previously employed PRN through outside staffing firms will be considered
