Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Emergency Department night shift position requiring 2 years of ER experience and KY or compact licensure.

Details

• Emergency Department setting at a Level I Trauma Center
• Night shift schedule (4x12 hours), 19:00-07:30, 48 hours per 14-week assignment
• Float required within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital

Requirements

• Active KY or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of ER experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS
• Preferred certifications: CPI, ENPC
• Preferred experience in a Level I Trauma Center
• Skills in respiratory care, cardiac monitoring, and emergency response to dysrhythmias
• Preferred skills in care of ventilated patients and continuous IV sedation
• At least one supervisor reference from within the last 3 years of employment required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide emergency nursing care including triage and management of dysrhythmias
• First-time travelers will be considered only if they have Level I trauma ER experience
• Travel experience preferred but not required
• Returning staff must have been gone from all UK-affiliated facilities for at least 6 months to be eligible as a traveler
• RTO requests longer than 1 week are not approved except under special circumstances, and all RTO must be disclosed at time of consideration
• Local candidates within 100 miles are not accepted
