Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Department RN for a Level I Trauma Center requiring a WA or compact RN license and ER experience.

Details

• Level I Trauma Center Emergency Department setting
• Patient ratio of 1 RN to 4 patients
• Day shift (4x12, 7:00-19:00) or night shift (4x12, 19:00-7:00) schedules available
• Every other weekend typically required
• No floating between units required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Epic EMR experience preferred

Requirements

• Active WA or compact RN license required in hand at submission
• Minimum 2 years of recent ER experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and TNCC
• Preferred Level I Trauma Center experience
• Skills required include medication administration, continuous IV sedation, neurological assessment, cardiac monitoring and emergency response, and dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• ICP monitoring experience preferred
• Triage experience required
• 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required

Additional Information

• Provide emergency care including triage, cardiac monitoring, and management of acute neurological and cardiac conditions
• May be expected to float between sister facilities near the contracted location
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• RTO requests must be submitted upfront during the application process
• Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate
• Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility unless applying as a local hire
• Former permanent staff may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, provided they reside outside the 50-mile radius
• Candidates must disclose any prior work history at Providence facilities, including dates and location
• First-time travelers are not required for this position
