Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a Flex Pool position requiring an active HI RN license and float capability across multiple medical and surgical units.

Details

• Flex RN role floating between various medical and surgical units including Medical, Laulima (Surgical Acute), and occasionally Cardiovascular units
• Medical unit has 77 beds, Laulima has 18 beds, and Cardiovascular unit has 15 beds
• Nurse to patient ratios: Medical 1:6 days/eves and 1:8 nights, Laulima 1:6, Cardiovascular 1:4 (ratios may vary due to unexpected leaves)
• Uses Meditech EMR, Pyxis, wound vac, and chest tubes
• 12-hour day shifts from 0645 to 1915
• Scheduled 36 hours per week following first week of orientation with no guarantee of hours

Requirements

• Active HI RN license required by start of assignment
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• PALS, Procedural Sedation, TNCC, and ENPC certifications preferred
• 2-10 years of experience required
• Documented proof of immunity required; medical and religious exemptions will not be accepted

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care while floating across medical and surgical units as needed
• Professional nursing attire required, including clean scrubs
• Unit-specific orientation and training time provided
• Must report to Employee Health 48-72 hours prior to start of assignment, with appointment scheduled at Hilo Employee Health
