Job Requirements

• Active New Mexico RN license or current compact state RN license
• BLS certification through AHA required
• 1 year of recent Med/Surg nursing experience required
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Ability to work night shift travel nurse schedules and support blocked scheduling when needed
• Strong communication, organization, and clinical decision-making skills

Responsibilities

• Provide routine and complex nursing care to assigned Med/Surg patients
• Use the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, intervene, and evaluate patient outcomes
• Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols
• Monitor for medication side effects and treatment effectiveness
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided accurately and thoroughly in EPIC
• Assess patient and family learning needs and provide clear education and support
• Address psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
• Work collaboratively with the care team and make appropriate assignments and delegations as needed
• Maintain professional standards while delivering safe, compassionate acute care nursing
