Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Med Surg Registered Nurse in Columbia, MO! This exciting opportunity in the Float Pool offers a dynamic work environment where you will provide essential care to adult and geriatric patients across various medical-surgical units.

The Float Pool consists of a 32-bed fast-paced unit with a nurse-patient ratio of 1:6, which may increase to 1:8 as needed. Nurses must be prepared to take on additional patients when required. You will be responsible for floating to all Med Surg units, including cardio, medicine, orthopedic, surgical, neuro, and oncology.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer IV insertion and manage PICC/Central Lines.
• Provide vascular device access and care.
• Perform traction, CPM, epidural/PCA pump management, feeding tube care, and wound vac management.
• Utilize remote telemetry and interpret tele readings.
• Manage airway skills, including CPAP/BiPAP and trach care.

Common Equipment:

• IV pumps
• Telemetry
• SCDs
• PCA pumps
• Lifts
• Gait belts
• CO2 monitoring
