Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg unit providing acute general medicine and palliative/hospice care, requiring active MA licensure and prior travel experience.

Details

• Acute general medicine unit also providing palliative and hospice care (up to 1/4 of census)
• 20-bed unit with all private rooms, typically at full census
• Adult patient population
• Clinician to patient ratio of 3:1 on days and 4:1 on nights
• 13-week assignment with day/night rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays
• 36 hours per week
• Uses Epic for charting

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required (no conditional or pending licenses accepted)
• BLS certification required (AHA only)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Minimum 1 year of travel nursing experience required
• NURSYS and Board of Nursing verification required for license

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced med/surg environment with palliative and hospice care components
• Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed
• RTO must be submitted at time of application
• Local candidates accepted but must reside within 60 miles of Boston, with rate adjusted accordingly
• First-time travelers considered as long as travel experience requirement is met
