Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a GI Lab position requiring documented procedural recovery experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Work in a hospital GI Lab setting
• Responsible for admitting patients, recovering patients in Phase II, and assisting in the procedure room when able
• Day shift, 8-hour shifts with varying start times between 0730-0900
• 36-40 hours per week
• No weekend or holiday requirements
• No on-call requirements
• Possible floating to Highland Park, Skokie, and Evanston GI labs

Requirements

• Active or temporary IL RN license
• Current CPR and ACLS certifications
• 2+ years of GI Lab experience required
• Documented PACU, Tele, or procedural recovery experience required
• Travel or PRN experience preferred
• Epic EMR experience required and must be noted in employment history
• Must pass an EKG test with a score of 80% or higher prior to consideration
• New graduates will not be considered

Additional Information

• Local candidates accepted at the same rate
• Facility conducts a brief interview of about 10-15 minutes prior to placement
• On Day 1 of orientation, travelers must pass an on-site EKG test to continue the assignment
• Orientation includes EKG testing, required modules, and Epic competency testing, approximately 6-8 hours
• Returning permanent or per diem staff must be away for 12 months before being submitted as a traveler
• RTO is limited to a maximum of 3 days for 8-week contracts and 7 days for 13-week contracts
