Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a GI Lab position requiring 2+ years of experience and active IL licensure.

Details

• Work in a GI Lab setting performing admitting, procedural, and recovery duties
• Responsible for admitting patients and recovering patients in Phase II, with possible procedure room involvement
• PACU, telemetry, and documented recovery experience utilized
• Day shift with varying start times between 0730-0900
• 36-40 hours per week
• No weekend or holiday requirements
• No on-call requirements
• Possible floating to Highland Park, Skokie, and Evanston GI labs

Requirements

• Active or temporary IL RN license required
• Current CPR and ACLS certifications required
• American Heart certifications preferred; American Red Cross accepted for BLS
• 2+ years of GI Lab experience required
• Travel or PRN experience preferred
• New graduates will not be considered
• Epic EMR experience required and must be reflected in employment history
• Must pass an EKG test with a score of 80% or higher prior to consideration
• Must pass an on-site EKG test on Day 1 of orientation to continue the assignment
• Two current professional references from a Supervisor, Manager, or Charge in the relevant specialty required, dated within the last year
• At least one travel reference preferred

Additional Information

• Day 1 orientation includes EKG testing, training modules, and Epic testing, approximately 6-8 hours
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
• Returning permanent or per diem staff must be separated from the facility for 12 months before being eligible as a travel candidate
• RTO limited to a maximum of 3 days for 8-week contracts and 7 days for 13-week contracts
