Job Description
Cedars-Sinai Medical Center is seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse for its ICU Float Pool. The RN will provide high-quality care to adult and geriatric patients across multiple critical care units, including Neuro ICU, Cardiothoracic ICU, Medical/Surgical ICU, and Transplant ICU.
The role requires strong critical care skills, including ventilator management, cardiac and vasoactive drip titration, arterial line management, hemodynamic monitoring, and care of critically ill patients. Floating to MS/Tele, PCU, Stepdown, and Overflow/PACU units is required.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience.
- First-time travelers accepted with experience in a 400+ bed hospital.
- Active California RN license required at submission.
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
- Epic charting experience preferred.
- Teaching hospital experience required.
- Strong cardiac, neuro, and critical care experience.
- CRRT, transplant, EVD, and Swan-Ganz experience preferred.
- Must pass the facility EKG examination during orientation.
- Flu vaccination required; no exemptions.
Additional Details
- Weekend requirement: Minimum 6 weekend shifts per 6-week period.
- Floating is mandatory across ICU and lower-acuity units.
- No scheduling requests; maximum 2 weeks RTO.
- No RTO during the first 2 weeks.
- Must work 3 of 5 major holidays.
