Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU Float RN with required EPIC experience and CA RN licensure for a Southern California hospital.

Details

• Float Pool role within the ICU setting
• Night shift schedule, 7:00 PM-7:30 AM, with 36 or 48 hour weekly options
• EPIC EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• BLS certification required (AHA, HS-BLS, or RQI BLS accepted)
• BSN preferred
• Acute care facility experience preferred
• Minimum 3 years of recent ICU experience required, within the last 3 months
• ACLS and PALS certifications required
• Candidates with a prior licensure action will not be considered

Additional Information

• Deliver coordinated nursing care for assigned patients using the full nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Supervise and direct various levels of assigned nursing staff while coordinating care across disciplines
• Collaborate with patients, families, and the healthcare team to provide safe, healing, and compassionate care
• Participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care
• Provide patient and family education throughout the care process
• All required vaccinations must be completed as a condition of employment, with medical or religious exemptions considered
• Holiday RTO will not be approved
• Requests for more than 5 days of RTO will result in automatic decline
• No radius restriction applies, and local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers
• Traveler may only be submitted to one hospital within the Adventist Health system at a time
