Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an ICU Float position requiring Epic proficiency and a minimum of three years of ICU specialty experience.

Details

• Float Pool position within the ICU setting
• Night shift schedule, 7:00 PM-7:30 AM, working 36 or 48-hour weeks
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certification required (AHA or ARC approved)
• PALS certification required
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Minimum of three years of recent ICU experience required, with experience in the specialty within the last three months
• BSN and acute care facility experience preferred
• No candidates with a prior license action will be considered

Additional Information

• Deliver coordinated nursing care to assigned patients according to established standards and the nursing process
• Supervise and direct nursing staff while coordinating care across disciplines
• Collect and analyze patient data to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care
• Provide patient and family education throughout the care process
• One holiday off may be approved, but the traveler must work the other assigned holiday
• Candidates with more than 5 days of requested time off will be automatically declined
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travel candidates
• Required vaccinations are a condition of employment, with medical and religious exemptions considered
