Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU Float RN for a Southern California hospital, requiring EPIC experience and a minimum of three years of ICU specialty experience.

Details

• Float pool position within the ICU department of an acute care hospital
• Night shift schedule, 7:00 PM-7:30 AM, working 36 or 48 hours per week
• EPIC EMR experience required
• One holiday off approved, with the traveler required to work the other assigned holiday

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certification required (AHA or ARC)
• PALS certification required (AHA or ARC)
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• Minimum of three years of recent ICU specialty experience required, within the last three months
• BSN and acute care facility experience preferred
• No prior adverse licensure actions permitted

Additional Information

• Delivers coordinated nursing care for assigned patients according to established standards and the nursing process
• Supervises and directs nursing staff while coordinating care with other disciplines
• Collaborates with patients, families, and the healthcare team to provide safe, healing, and humane care
• Participates in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care
• Delegates and coordinates duties among healthcare team members
• Required to receive applicable vaccinations as a condition of employment
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travel candidates with no radius restriction
• Candidates with more than 5 days of requested RTO will be automatically declined
• Traveler may only be submitted to one hospital within the Adventist Health system at a time
