Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a CCU position requiring critical care, trauma, and neuro experience with an active FL/compact license.

Details

  • Work in the CCU unit of a hospital setting
  • Care for acute and chronically ill critical care patients including trauma and neuro cases
  • Patient ratio of 2:1 or 1:1
  • Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
  • Every other weekend required
  • Floating required as needed
  • Holiday coverage required as needed
  • Uses Epic charting system

Requirements

  • Active FL or Compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
  • Current BLS and ACLS certification via AHA required
  • NIH Stroke Scale certification required in hand at time of consideration
  • Minimum 3 years of recent critical care experience with acute/chronically ill patients required
  • Trauma and neuro experience required
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Charge RN and Neuro ICU experience preferred
  • Degree required from an accredited school, or from an FBON-approved institution combined with 2 years of recent, consecutive acute care experience within the past 24 months in a US hospital
  • Candidates from Operation Nightingale Schools not accepted
  • Must pass a basic arrhythmia assessment with 100% in lethal rhythms and 83% or greater in all other sections
  • Must successfully complete a Florida AHCA Level 2 background screening, including fingerprint-based state and federal criminal history checks and abuse registry review

Additional Information

  • Provide direct critical care nursing to acute and chronically ill patients in the CCU
  • Facility is a smoke-free environment
  • Local candidates within a 60-mile radius are considered at a lower pay rate
  • Former permanent employees must be separated from the facility for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
  • Proof of vaccination status is required with no declinations allowed
  • Study guides and orientation materials for the arrhythmia assessment are provided by the facility
