Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a CCU position requiring critical care, trauma, and neuro experience along with an active FL/compact license.

Details

  • Work in the CCU of a hospital environment
  • Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 19:00-7:30)
  • Patient ratio of 2:1 or 1:1
  • Uses Epic EMR
  • Every other weekend (EOW) required
  • Floating required as needed
  • Holiday coverage required as needed

Requirements

  • Active FL or Compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
  • Current certifications: BLS and ACLS via AHA, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) required in hand at time of consideration
  • Minimum 3 years recent critical care experience with acute/chronically ill patients required
  • Trauma and Neuro experience required
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Charge RN and Neuro ICU experience preferred
  • Degree from an accredited nursing school required, or a degree from an FBON-approved institution combined with 2 years of recent, consecutive acute care experience within the last 24 months in a US hospital
  • Candidates from Operation Nightingale Schools not accepted
  • Completion of a Florida AHCA Level 2 background screening required, including fingerprint-based state and federal criminal history checks and abuse registry review
  • Proof of vaccination status required with no declinations allowed
  • Must pass a Basic Arrhythmia/EKG assessment

Additional Information

  • Provide critical care nursing to acute and chronically ill CCU patients
  • Facility is a smoke-free campus
  • Local candidates within a 60-mile radius considered at a lower pay rate
  • Former permanent employees must be separated from the facility for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
  • Compliance lab work must be completed within 72 hours of signing
