Job Summary:
The ICU (Intensive Care Unit) Nursing position is based in Washington, D.C. The role involves providing critical care to a multidisciplinary patient population, including neurological, neuro-surgical, medical, surgical, pulmonary, cardiology, cardiothoracic, and trauma patients. The position requires adaptability to various advanced technology and adherence to regulatory standards, with a focus on patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Rotating shifts, 12 hours per day, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting on 08/03/2026.
  • Required Qualifications: Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of District of Columbia; ICU experience of at least 3 years; Cerner experience; graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program; BSN degree is highly desired.
  • Additional Information: The ICU is a multidisciplinary unit serving neurological, neuro-surgical, medical, surgical, pulmonary, cardiology, cardiothoracic, and trauma patients. Technology used includes ventilators, ventriculostomies, cardiac monitors, pulmonary artery catheters, arterial lines, central lines, PICC lines, IABP, ECMO/tandem heart, Impella, BIS monitors, continuous pulse oximetry, CRRT, gastric tubes, and infusion pumps. The role involves fulfilling patient, family, and community needs through a variety of patient care functions performed according to licensure, certification, and regulatory requirements.
