Location: Richmond, VA

Floor: 5

General Information

• Number of Beds: 10
• Day Shift Staff: 1 charge nurse, 4 RNs, 1 Unit Secretary
• Night Shift Staff: 1 charge nurse, 4 RNs
• Patient Ratios: 1:2-3
• Equipment: GE Bedside telemetry monitoring
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Meditech

Typical Hiring Profile

Required Skills:

• Proficiency in the care of ventilated patients
• Experience with titration of sedation, analgesia, and vasoactive cardiac medications

Preferred Skills:

• Medical ICU experience
• Experience as a part of rapid response/team code blue

Typical Procedures:

• Assistance with Rapid Sequence Intubation (RSI) and arterial or central line placement
• Slow/continuous dialysis via TABLO (SLED)

Personality Fit:

• Team player
• Self-motivated

Required Certifications:

• ACLS required
• CCRN preferred

Floating Areas:

• IMCU, NSICU, MedSurg as needed

Weekends and On-call

Every other weekend. No on-call required.
