Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a 13-week travel assignment requiring 1-2 years of ICU experience and a TX or compact RN license.

Details

• 26-bed ICU unit staffed with 1 charge RN, 1 rapid response RN, and 8 bedside RNs per shift
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Uses mechanical ventilators, CRRT, IABP, Impella, and EKOS equipment
• Performs procedures including intubation, bedside ECMO cannulation, chest tube insertion, bedside tracheostomy, and central line insertions
• Uses Meditech EMR
• 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Required to work every other weekend
• Floating required to CVIMCU and IMCU
• No on-call responsibilities

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (no certifications expiring within first 30 days of start)
• 1-2 years of ICU experience required
• CV or Neuro ICU experience preferred
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration (no Canadian SSN accepted)
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing to ICU patients requiring advanced monitoring and intervention
• Candidates must be accountable for their actions and demonstrate strong personal responsibility
• Royal Blue scrubs required
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
