Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a night shift contract requiring stroke patient care experience and active NIHSS certification.

Details

• ICU setting within a 257-licensed bed acute and sub-acute care hospital
• Night shift schedule, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 36 hours per week guaranteed
• Weekend schedule to be determined by the facility
• On-call schedule to be determined by the facility
• 9-week assignment length

Requirements

• Active RN license (MD or Compact) required at time of submission
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA)
• Active NIHSS certification required at time of submission
• Willingness to obtain mRS/SIREN certification within 48 hours if offered
• Willingness to complete Basic EKG test and score 85% or higher within 48 hours if offered
• Minimum 2 years recent ICU experience required
• Minimum 2 years experience working with stroke patients, documented on resume
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Flu vaccination record required, declinations not accepted
• COVID vaccination record required, declinations not accepted
• Must be willing to work the facility's schedule with no scheduling restrictions

• Accountable for quality of nursing services delivered by self or team members under direction
• Utilizes specialized clinical knowledge and judgment to provide age-appropriate patient care
• Located on a suburban campus handling over 23,000 admissions and 52,000 ER visits annually
• Local candidates accepted with no rate change
• Candidates may request RTO up to the equivalent of one contracted week of hours
• Facility reserves the right to cancel up to 3 shifts per 13-week period
