Key Responsibilities

• Provide critical care nursing for a diverse patient population including sepsis, respiratory failure, thoracic surgery, vascular surgery, GI bleed, liver transplant, and multi-system organ failure — excluding CV and Neuro populations
• Manage and operate advanced clinical equipment including vents, tracheostomy care, chest tubes, CPAP/BiPAP, CRRT/dialysis, PA lines, CVP lines, Arctic Sun, cooling/warming blankets, and rapid infusers
• Administer and titrate a broad range of critical care medications including vasopressors, antiarrhythmics, sedation agents, anticoagulants, and thrombolytics
• Maintain a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio; float to IMC/Tele and other campuses as needed
• Work at least every other weekend, with additional weekend availability expected to meet unit needs
• Commit to working 3 of the 5 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license; compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 1 year of ICU experience required; 2 years strongly preferred
• Experience in more than one specialized ICU area (e.g., MICU and SICU)
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• NIHSS certification required
• Proficiency with Epic EMR required
• Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• CCRN certification preferred
• Experience with liver transplant or multi-system organ failure patient populations
• Familiarity with RSI medications, sheath removal, and advanced vascular device management
• First-time travelers with qualifying ICU experience are welcome to apply
