• Float Areas: MICU, SICU, Neuro ICU, CVICU, CVSICU, IMC, and ED/PACU for ICU/IMC boarders
• Unit Type: Overflow ICU Float Pool

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required at time of submission
• Minimum of 2 years of recent critical care or ICU experience within the last 7 years
• At least 1 previous travel nurse assignment required
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Must be comfortable working in multiple ICU and IMC settings
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Experience with Cerner preferred
• Must be able to support a patient ratio of 2:1 on days, nights, and weekends
• Strong teamwork, alarm management, and critical thinking skills required
• Flu vaccination required

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality care to critically ill patients in overflow MICU, SICU, Neuro ICU, CVICU, and IMC settings
• Monitor and manage complex patient conditions, including ventilated patients and those requiring advanced cardiac and neurologic support
• Perform thorough assessments, initiate timely interventions, and respond quickly to changes in patient status
• Manage arterial lines, central lines, chest tubes, blood products, IV drips, and other critical care therapies as needed
• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support exceptional patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow unit protocols, compliance standards, and patient safety practices
• Adapt quickly to changing assignments across critical care and intermediate care areas
• Uphold a team-oriented approach with strong alarm management and clinical judgment
