• Unit Focus: MICU, SICU, Neuro ICU, CVICU, CVSICU, IMC, and ICU/IMC boarders

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license for the District of Columbia at time of submission
• Minimum of 2 years of recent ICU or critical care experience within the last 7 years
• At least 1 previous travel nurse assignment required
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Flu vaccination required with no exemptions
• Experience with Cerner preferred
• Strong teamwork, adaptability, and excellent alarm management skills
• Comfortable floating across multiple ICU and IMC areas
• Ability to provide 2 supervisory references, including one from the most recent assignment

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate, and evidence-based care to critically ill patients
• Support overflow and boarder management across various ICU and IMC units
• Monitor hemodynamic status, dysrhythmias, ventilated patients, and complex critical care conditions
• Administer medications and manage IV therapies, drips, and advanced monitoring equipment
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care
• Respond quickly to changing patient conditions and prioritize care in a high-acuity environment
• Maintain strong documentation and communication practices throughout the shift
• Demonstrate professionalism, teamwork, and reliable attendance throughout the assignment
