• Position: ICU Registered Nurse – Travel Nurse Assignment
• Location: Washington, DC 20010 – in a vibrant, centrally located neighborhood with convenient access to local dining, cultural attractions, and city amenities
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,770–$1,860
• Start Date: 10/12/2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Schedule: Rotating day and night 12-hour shifts
• Shifts Per Week: 3
• Shift Duration: 12 hours
• Hours Per Week: 36
• Weekend Coverage: Required
• Patient Ratio: 2:1 on days, nights, and weekends
• Float Areas: MICU, SICU, Neuro ICU, CVICU, CVSICU, IMC, and ED/PACU for ICU/IMC boarders
• Orientation: Included prior to start

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington, DC at time of submission
• Minimum of 2 years of recent ICU experience within the last 7 years
• At least 1 previous travel nursing assignment required
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Experience with Cerner preferred
• Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to adapt quickly to changing assignments
• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented approach

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to ICU and IMC patients with varying levels of acuity
• Float across multiple critical care units as assigned
• Monitor patient status, identify changes early, and respond appropriately in urgent situations
• Manage ventilated patients, arterial lines, central lines, and cardiac drips
• Support patients requiring CRRT, EVD monitoring, and advanced neurological or hemodynamic care
• Administer blood products, emergency medications, and complex IV therapies
• Perform thorough assessments, document accurately, and collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams
• Maintain strong alarm management practices and help ensure safe, efficient patient care
