Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN with Epic charting experience for a float pool position requiring travel experience and every-other-weekend availability.

Details

ICU float pool position in a hospital setting
Requires floating to multiple ICUs including ICU, CVICU, NICU, SICU, MICU, TICU, and Burn ICU
Patient ratio of 1:2
Day shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
Requires working every other weekend
Holiday coverage required
No on-call requirements

Requirements

Active LA RN license or Compact license required at time of consideration
Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
Previous travel nursing experience required
Epic charting experience required
Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
Preferred certifications: CCRN and CPI
Skilled in IV therapy, arterial line management, central line care, and blood product administration
Experience with ventilator management and care of ventilated patients
Previous charge nurse experience preferred

Additional Information

First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
Navy blue scrubs required
Strict 5-day maximum RTO policy during the assignment
Local candidates residing within 75 miles are accepted at the local rate
Permanent staff must be separated from the health system for at least 1 year before being eligible for travel assignments
Provide critical care nursing across multiple ICU specialties as part of a float pool team
