Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a night shift travel assignment requiring 2+ years of critical care experience and an active TN or compact RN license.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting in the ICU/Critical Care unit
• 5-bed ICU presently, with expansion to a 10-bed unit planned
• Adult and geriatric patient population; no pediatric patients
• Patient ratios of 2-3:1
• Common diagnoses include DKA, CVA, chest pain, post-surgical cases, electrolyte imbalances, overdose, and psychiatric (SI) patients
• Uses ventilators, BiPAPs, IV drips, and glucometers
• Charts in Medhost EHR
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• No floating requirements

Requirements

• Active RN license valid in Tennessee (Standard or Compact) required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2+ years of RN experience, critical care experience preferred
• Strong critical thinking skills required
• Must pass Tennessee Abuse Registry check prior to assignment start

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care in a Level 3 trauma ICU setting
• Work alongside a collaborative, close-knit team
• Bi-weekly orientation held on Mondays
• Scrubs of any color accepted; casual wear not permitted
• Candidates must live 60 miles or greater from the facility to qualify for travel rate
• Previous perm staff employment at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months is not eligible
• Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full-time while on assignment
