Description

American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift ICU RN requiring an active OR RN license, Epic experience, and at least 2 years of ICU experience in a large hospital setting.

Details

• 13-week assignment in a General ICU/PCU unit
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30
• Patient ratios of 1:2 or 1:1
• Treats general ICU diagnoses including sepsis, respiratory failure, traumatic brain injury, neurosurgical interventions, multi-system organ failure, stroke, GI bleeding, cardiac/respiratory arrest, complex vascular surgery, and multi-system trauma
• Constant floating required between units and to nearby affiliated facilities, with priority floating to a facility approximately 15 minutes away
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active OR RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum of 2 years ICU experience required
• Minimum of 18 months experience in a hospital with more than 300 beds required
• Epic EMR charting experience required
• Skilled in IV starts, telemetry monitoring, conscious sedation, and ventilator management
• CCRN, CPI, TNCC, ICP monitoring, and pulmonary artery line experience preferred

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing services across a general ICU/PCU patient population
• Flexible to float within the facility and to nearby affiliated hospitals as needed; refusal to float may result in contract cancellation
• Former employees of the health system are not eligible for travel assignments until six months after their termination date
• First-time travelers will be considered if the candidate has at least 3 years of ICU experience and Epic charting experience
• RTO must be finalized prior to consideration; requests submitted afterward may affect eligibility
• Block scheduling is not accommodated
