Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a night shift position requiring community hospital experience and a CT or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in the ICU of a hospital setting
• Adult patient population
• 12-hour night shifts, 19:00-07:30, 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend coverage required
• Float required to MS/Tele and Tele units, within scope of practice
• Uses Accudose medication system, Cerner documentation system, and SBAR communication
• Blue scrubs required

Requirements

• Active RN license (CT or Compact) required
• Current certifications: ACLS and BLS (CPI, NIHSS, and TNCC preferred)
• Minimum 3 years of ICU experience required
• Community hospital experience required
• Cerner charting experience preferred
• Experience with interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Experience with Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz monitoring
• Central line care and management experience
• Skilled in starting and maintaining IVs
• Experience caring for ventilated patients and ventilator management

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing to adult ICU patients including cardiac monitoring and emergency response
• Titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips as needed
• Follow infection prevention protocols including isolation precautions and PPE
• First time travelers are welcome to apply for this unit
