Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Day and Night Shifts Available (12-hour shifts: 6:30 AM–6:30 PM / 6:30 PM–6:30 AM) | Every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care in a 33-bed ICU setting with an average daily census of 16, maintaining a 1:2–3 nurse-to-patient ratio for adult patients
  • Manage and titrate a variety of drips including cardiac drips, insulin, and sedation medications
  • Assess, interpret, and document cardiac monitor strips and telemetry using GE monitoring equipment, with tele tech oversight support
  • Care for patients presenting with diagnoses including trauma, cardiac conditions, stroke, sepsis, respiratory distress, renal failure, heart failure, overdose/substance abuse, post-stent, pacemaker placement, and vascular cases
  • Manage patients on respiratory support equipment ranging from nasal cannula to mechanical ventilation
  • Float to PCU or occasionally Med-Surg units as needed, maintaining comparable patient ratios

Required Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Current BLS certification
  • Current ACLS certification
  • Current NIHSS certification
  • Ability to pass a unit-specific open-book skills exam with a minimum score of 90% during orientation
  • Compliance with facility infection control policy: artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care areas

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • Prior ICU travel or staff nursing experience with exposure to high-acuity adult patient populations
  • Experience titrating cardiac drips, insulin infusions, and sedation protocols
  • Familiarity with GE cardiac monitoring systems and independent telemetry interpretation
