Job Description

The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality care to critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit. Nurses will be expected to work closely with an interdisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered care and manage complex clinical scenarios.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the ICU.
• Monitor vital signs and patient condition continuously, reporting changes as necessary.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by providers.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Utilize critical care equipment effectively, including BiPAP/CPAP management and arterial line management.
• Interpret diagnostic tests and make appropriate clinical decisions based on findings.
• Ensure compliance with isolation precautions and infection control protocols.

Required Experience

• 2+ years of recent ICU experience required.
• Previous charge experience preferred.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current New York RN license in hand.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• NIHSS certification required.
