GLC On-The-Go is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Plainview, Texas.
Join a leading acute-care hospital as an ICU Registered Nurse in Plainview, TX. This contract position offers a unique opportunity for experienced RNs to provide critical care in a supportive environment. We welcome first-time travelers with at least one year of ICU experience.
The ICU Registered Nurse will function primarily as a bedside nurse, caring for critically ill adult patients. You will not serve in the Charge Nurse role, as oversight is provided by a unified Charge Nurse model. The expected nurse-to-patient ratio in the ICU is 1:2-3, depending on patient acuity.
Weekend shifts are required, with six weekend shifts scheduled during your contract. While agency RNs will not float between units, there may be opportunities to assist on the Med-Surg unit when the ICU census is low, with a limited assignment of approximately 1-2 Med-Surg patients.
To qualify for this role, you must hold current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications, and have prior ICU experience. You should be comfortable working in a rural critical access hospital environment.
