RN ICU- HRH Metro Region
Job Details:
• Work 3x12-hour shifts on various days of the week
• Weekend shifts required, 6-8 per 6-week schedule
• No on-call responsibilities
• Patient ratio of 1:2 for days, nights, and weekends
• Floating required per unit needs and may float to other locations within the metro region (rare)
• Minimum 1 year of ICU experience required
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
• Additional certifications preferred: NIHSS, TNCC
• Must be comfortable working with adults and geriatric patient populations
• Unit specializes in general ICU care, cancer center head and neck cancer surgeries, and neuro/spine cases
• Key skills include arterial line management, ventilator management, central line care, continuous IV sedation, titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips, blood product administration, and management of multisystem organ dysfunction/failure
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, and rapid response teams
Facility:
This facility is home to the only ICU in the hospital, providing comprehensive critical care services to adult and geriatric patients. The unit consists of 18 beds with a daily census of 15 patients and offers specialized care in areas including cancer center services, head and neck cancer surgeries, and neuro/spine care. The facility is supported by a robust interdisciplinary team including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, social services, and rapid response teams.
