Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a 13-week assignment requiring at least 2 years of critical care experience and current ACLS/BLS certification.

Details

• 10-bed ICU setting within a community hospital
• Patient population includes critically ill adults with medical emergencies, post-surgical care, respiratory failure, and sepsis
• Occasional management of pediatric patients requiring stabilization prior to transfer to tertiary centers
• Acute stroke patients may be managed in ICU given the facility's Primary Stroke Center status with telestroke/tele-neurology services
• 12-hour day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Every third weekend required
• No floating or charge responsibilities required

Requirements

• Active RN license (NH or compact) required, MA license also required if applicable
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Current ACLS and BLS certification through AHA required
• Must pass Tele/ECG and Medication competency testing

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing to a diverse adult ICU patient population, including occasional pediatric and stroke cases
• Previous BILH employees (travel, perm, or per diem) must have a 6-month break before returning to any BILH facility
• COVID vaccine plus booster and flu vaccine required, with medical exemptions allowed
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates are not accepted
• First-time travelers may be considered
